The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 Just Made Geothermal Heating and Cooling More Affordable Than Ever.

On Aug 16, 2022, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 into law, including a historic $369 billion in new climate spending, the country’s largest and most significant investment in green energy and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. For homeowners, it extends the Energy Investment Tax Credit for clean energy home improvements, providing a 30 percent credit for geothermal heat pump projects installed before January 1, 2033.
